Leonay Riesling
Wine
Leo Buring Leonay Riesling is among the upper echelon of Australian Rieslings. It is named after Château Leonay, established by Hermann Paul Leopold (Leo) Buring and his wife Ida (nicknamed Nay) in the mid-1940s.
Leonay Riesling leads Leo Buring's range. Each year it comprises the best parcels of fruit from either the Clare Valley or the Eden Valley. In rare vintages, a single wine from each region or a blend of the two is released.
Fermentation occurs at cold temperatures in stainless steel tanks. The wine is cold settled and bottled early to retain the fresh flavours.
Bright yellow, Leo Buring Leonay Riesling is a pure and elegant Riesling with citrus fruit flavours, crisp acidity and slate like minerality. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
